yesterday, i was doing sit in at the clinic answering calls and bookig appointments for patients. then all the patients asked why am i working since the doctors are not around but i told them i've got no choice since my boss wants me to do so.
then came an old lady with her daughter. that old lazy wanted to make a new set of upper dentures and they asked me abt the pricing etc. so whle arranging the appointment for them, the old lady kept talking to me and showing me her lower set of dentures. i thought the old lady was cute, she resembles the macdonald old lady and her teeth are all so small and cute. she is a pleasant old lady la..so i wrote down her name and book her under impression, which is the first stage of denture making and i forgot whether i should book for the 15mins slot or 30mins one. so i thought i juz book for her and ask my collegue later in the night.
i left at 12.15pm to went shopping and haf lunch with my mama and came back to work at 6pm. then while i was working with geok san, i asked her abt the impression thing. she said it was 15mins treatment then i was happy my memory didn fail me. hahaha..a call came and while i was busy answering the call, the same lady that came in the morning walk in so geok san attended to her. afterwards i put down my phone geok san pointed to the appointment book with the name of the old lady that wanted to do the dentures. she told me the lady that came in wanted to cancel her mum's appointment. to double confirm, geok san asked the lady : 她假牙不要做了是吗?
the lady answered: 她去世了.
when geok san told me i was shocked like hell. i told her how could that be possible? the old lady juz came in this morning with her and she could still walk and was talking happily with me. how can she juz died like that? for the rest of the night i kept thinking abt the old lady, i could still remember her face la..i felt really sad for her. within 24hrs everything can juz change like that..may the old lady rest in peace.
